The transit-reachable Miami churches on the map
Riding to church in Miami: what to check before Sunday
Miami transit favors downtown and the rail spine. Three checks before a Sunday trip:
- Use the Metromover for downtown churches. It is free, it runs on Sunday, and Trinity Cathedral and First United Methodist both sit within its loop; for these churches the stop count translates directly into easy access.
- Check Metrobus Sunday headways outside downtown. Many routes that produce mapped stops in residential Miami run every 40 to 60 minutes on Sunday mornings.
- Plan for heat and afternoon rain. A quarter-mile walk in Miami in summer argues for the closest stop, not the busiest one; the map above shows both.
How the transit data was mapped
Stop locations come from OpenStreetMap, collected by the directory's nightly enrichment pass: every stop node within roughly 400 meters (a quarter mile) of a church building counts as a mapped stop. 411 of 524 Miami listings have at least one as of June 11, 2026. A mapped stop does not guarantee Sunday service on that route; check the transit agency's schedule before traveling. Corrections to any listing go through the corrections page.
