Corrections

Minor factual corrections: one business day. Major changes: reviewed by a second editor.

A directory is only as useful as its corrections policy. If you find something wrong, please tell us — even if you are not affiliated with the parish in question.

How to submit a correction

Every parish page carries a Suggest an edit link beside the "Manage this parish" box. That is the fastest path: your note arrives attached to the parish slug, so it skips the triage queue.

What we correct quickly

  • Phone numbers, addresses, ZIP codes.
  • Service times and weekly schedules.
  • Website URLs that have moved.
  • Denominational affiliation when it is clearly wrong (not when it is contested).
  • Permanent closure of a parish — we mark the entry closed, we do not delete it.

What we review more carefully

  • Historical claims (founding date, architect, NRHP listing).
  • Denominational affiliation when the parish itself disputes our categorization.
  • Accusations of heterodoxy, schism, or malfeasance — we do not publish those and do not adjudicate them.

How to reach the corrections desk

Use the link on the parish page when possible. For general notes, corrections@churcheslist.com is read daily.
