Our congregation is a diverse one. It is a reflection of our mission and vision; “To reach out into the surrounding communities; to the hurting, to those in need and to those searching for hope with the message of Christ’s love and acceptance without regard to color, social standing or previous religious convictions and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through discipling via a grounded church life, community activities, social and recreational gatherings and heartfelt fellowship.” Religion is NOT what we are about! Sent By Ravens is a strongly Evangelical church. The word of God, not watered down; including the pure unpolluted Gospel message is preached here. We emphasize a strong foundational, systematic teaching of God’s word while allowing and encouraging the power of God’s Holy Spirit to move in our lives and in our church as He wills. SBR VCF is constantly pursuing new avenues for reaching into the community with the extended hand of Christ’s love. In the past we have organized contemporary Christian concerts at Longbeach Elementary and Thompson Junior High Schools. We’ve also canvassed neighborhoods, conducted Youth Group car washes and canned food drives to benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry. SBR VCF is a church where you can become involved, where you won’t become “a number”.
