Saint Benedict Orthodox Church was founded in 1983 to provide aTraditional Orthodox Christian parish in Oklahoma. It observes theOrthodox Church’s Julian Calendar and the other traditional prac-tices of the Church.Services are mostly in English, with some Church Slavonic and Greek, because the parish members are from various ethnic backgrounds. English is the native or common language of all parishioners. The parishmembership consists of approximately 50% “cradle Orthodox” and 50% converts to the Orthodox Church.Individual, directed instruction in the Orthodox Faith is available. A full liturgical life is provided, including Sunday and Feast-day Vigil and Divine Liturgy.Schedule of Services SaturdayVigil: 5:00 PM Sunday and Feast Day 3rd and 6th Hours: 9:10 AM Sunday & Feast Day Divine Liturgy: 9:30 AM Feast-day Eve Vigil if Sunday: 5:00 PM Feast Day Eve Vigil if Mon-Fri: 6:30 PMConfessions are heard during all Vigils.
