First United Methodist Church

We offer two Sunday worship services. The “FirstWorship” service, beginning at 9:00am, is casual with contemporary praise music in the fellowship hall, while our 11:00a.m. service is more traditional in the sanctuary. Sunday School is taught between the two services at 10:00a.m. There are a number of Adult classes, Youth classes, as well as seperate classes for toddlers, K 2nd, and 3rd 5th. A nursery is available throughout the morning for crib babies through age 3. Toddler’s Church is offered for ages 3 through 5, and Children’s Church is offered for K 2nd and 3rd thru 5th during the 11:00 service. Children are dismissed after the Children’s message for Children’s Church. Our Student Ministry is for grades 6 12. They meet on Sunday Mornings in the youth room for Sunday School. They also meet on Sunday evenings from 5-6:30, dinner is $2.00. Sometimes they are off campus be sure to check the youth calendar for details. Students have different Bible Study options Sr. High meets for lunchtime Bible Study behind the AMVETS building at the park from 12:45 1:30. Lunch is provided. Sr. High also meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 7:30 at the church, Jr. High meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 7:30 at the church as well. A “Cry Room” is available at the back of the sanctuary. It is soundproofed with a large viewing window and a speaker to hear the service. Each service concludes with an invitation to Christian discipleship. You may come forward at the invitation or speak with the Pastor following the service. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month at both services. Sermon tapes are available at the Church office if you would like to have an audio copy of the Sunday sermon.
