St. Anthony mission was established in 1911 and the church was built in 1912. It was dedicated by Bishop Richter on November 11, 1915. From 1911-1930 it was a part of St. Patrick Parish, from 1930-1955 it was a part of St. Mary, Spring Lake, and from 1955-present day it has been a part of St. Patrick Parish. The name of the parish was canonically changed to St. Patrick - St. Anthony Parish on July 1, 2011 by Bishop Walter Hurley. The word "parish" references the community of people while the word "church" refers to the building where the parish gathers for worship."
