Arvon Presbyterian Church was established in 1885 as a worship center for the workers in the Arvonia Slate Quarry. In January 2009 the Sanctuary portion of the building was destroyed by fire. The church has now been rebuilt to its original 1885 design and resumed worship services on Palm Sunday, 2012
